superb design great value quiet space
The hotel's common areas had superb design both inside and outside. I found the evening dining service excellent. I appreciated the tasty menu and its great value. The room included nice clean sheets and a clean bathroom. I also slept in a quiet space.
I FOUND the hotel a bit tired. It needs an update.

Staff generally seemed friendly and always tried to accommodate my requests. The reception area was inviting and well kept. I enjoyed the man who played piano in the evenings. The music created a lovely, relaxing atmosphere.

mixed experience with notable issues
cracked grout bathroom refit
the location was ideal, close to the station, sights, and restaurants.
The bathroom in my standard double room was not great. There were cracks in the floor grout. some floor tiles had movement when i walked over them. the bathroom generally needs a refit or at least a cleaning up.

staff at the reception desk were pleasant. the bar staff were particularly kind and helpful. i found the level of service to be efficient and friendly throughout my visit.

a lovely visit
convenient location spacious room enjoyable buffet
i found the location very convenient, a short walk to the town center. the room i stayed in was spacious, including a large bed and a clean bathroom. breakfast was enjoyable with a buffet with many options..
i noticed that the room i was in had thin walls. i could hear noise from the corridor, disruptive.

ample tea good sense
The room had ample tea and coffee. Breakfast included a wide range of options and I thought it was enjoyable. Dining room staff were capable and considerate. They also had a good sense of humor, which I liked.
The hotel charged for parking. The fee was not expected.
